Never abstact, informel revelas its motive to the initiated.

The invention of informel in 1928 by Jean Fautrier marks one of the significant moments in 20th century art, with this landscape being one of the first works of art informel.

Held close by Jean Fautrier all his life and in the family until very recently – it was selected for various of his most significant exhibitions and publications, including the XXX Biennale in Venice and highlighted both by Giulio Argan and in Palma Buccarellis‘ Jean Fautrier: Pittura e Materia.
